About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious marketeer to join our Off-Trade Channel Marketing team and support the growth of well-known cider, beer and wine brands on the Isle of Ireland, such as market leader Bulmers/Magners, Outcider, San Miguel and YellowTail.
The Channel Marketing & Planning Executive’s key role purpose is to support the Senior Channel Marketing & Planning Manager in the planning and execution of the Off-Trade channel brand activation across beer, cider, and wine categories. This role will work closely with the Commercial and Brand teams and supplier agencies to prioritise and deliver a busy calendar of in-store activations and campaigns throughout the year.
Key Accountabilities
- Supporting the line manager in the development and completion of all brand plans and JBP investment for our key customers, including Tesco, SuperValu, Centra, Dunnes and BWG.
- Management of project requirements, making sure we are meeting all activation deadlines (from briefing to placement) to ensure delivery of all planned campaigns, retail media and POS placement projects.
- Category data led and consumer insights to generate breakthrough performance in the Off Trade channel, finding solutions for brand activations.
- Cross-functional working with the finance and sales teams to understand the commercial performance of our brands, highlighting and recommending action as required, and identifying opportunities for further revenue and profit growth.
- You will play a supporting role in the commercial planning processes and develop clear, actionable BTL strategies that enable brands to deliver against sales plans.
- Develop a thorough understanding of customers and consumers in the Irish and NI markets, to help inform decisions when defining the strategy across channels to ensure creation to flawless execution each time with a focus on ROI by activity.
- Working towards clear KPI’s and measures across all BTL activity performance, making recommendations based on thorough performance review of brand activity.
- Customer engagement – support the sell-in of compelling brand plans to key customers, tailored as necessary to maximise opportunities by customer.
- You will lead a number of internal and external stakeholder groups, including field sales managers, print agencies, suppliers and internal customers.
About you
- Brand/Shopper/Customer/Retail marketing experience.
- Previous experience in the On/Off Trade alcohol industry is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask. Comfortable with managing a diverse workload of projects in a high-pressure environment.
- Can utilise data to inform decision-making approach and translate this into action.
- Ability to build successful relationships with both internal and external partners.
- Good creative judgement and presentation skills.
- Ability to apply Marketing/Channel principles and consumer insights into planning and action.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Strong ability to build and leverage relationships with internal teams, senior management, agencies and consultants.
