Chef

We are currently looking for a Head Chef to join our team at Kitchen 28 in Kilcoole. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative Chef who would like the advantage of working daytime hours and a day off on Sundays.

Kitchen 28 is dedicated to providing high-quality ingredients and specializes in real "dude food" style sandwiches. As the Head Chef, you'll contribute to maintaining these standards, ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently while creating weekly specials . Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for the efficient operations and standards of the day to day overall kitchen.
• To carry out regular hygiene checks and spot checks of all areas to monitor standards, as well as adhere to the relevant food safety, HACCP, fire, health & safety legislation/procedures and taking corrective action where necessary.
• To implement and maintain an efficient stock control and rotation system.
• To implement and maintain systems relating to improved cost controls, wastage control, quality control.
• To identify training needs and actively train all staff to the approved standards.

Requirements:

• Be a motivated and driven individual, who has a passion for food and hospitality
• Have significant previous experience in a similar role
• Have excellent communication and team leadership skills
• Possess excellent organisational skills
• Have fluency in both written and spoken English
