Chef de Rang | Coast Restaurant – 4-Star Grand Hotel, Malahide

Under the management of FBD Hotels & Resorts, the 4-star Grand Hotel Malahide is currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic full-time Chef de Rang to join our Coast Restaurant team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role within a 3- or 4-star hotel or high-quality restaurant environment. A strong focus on guest service, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues when needed.

As a Chef de Rang, you will play an important role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, ensuring the highest standards of service from welcoming guests through to the end of their meal.

What you’ll be doing:

• Providing warm, attentive and professional service to our guests
• Taking food and beverage orders and ensuring they are delivered accurately
• Maintaining high service standards throughout the guest experience
• Working closely with the kitchen and restaurant team to ensure smooth service
• Keeping your section clean, organised and well presented
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment
• Handling guest requests professionally and going the extra mile to exceed expectations

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel environment
• A genuine passion for food, beverage and hospitality
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A positive, professional and team-focused attitude
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy services
• Strong attention to detail
• Flexibility to work across Monday to Sunday, including evenings and weekends

Requirements for the role:

2 years' experience in a similar position in a 3* or 4* Hotel

Ability to be in Malahide for early start

Excellent communication skills

Pleasant demeanour

Excellent interpersonal skills
