Chomlm General Dental Surgeon, CHO Midlands Meath
Location of Post
Community Healthcare Organisation Area 8, Louth/Meath, and Midlands (Longford, Westmeath, Laois, Offaly).
A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Dental Surgeon, General Primary Care Dental Services in Community Health Organisation Area 8 from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
Existing panels (NRS12499, NRS13171 and NRS13814) will take precedence over the panel formed for this campaign.
Purpose of the post
To advance the aim of the Public Dental Service to improve the oral health of the population as a whole. This involves having an integrated multi-sector approach that is evidence based and involves the provision of dental treatment to the eligible population on a targeted approach.
The Person must;
Candidates must have at the latest date of application: -
1.Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc.
(a) Hold a Degree, Licence or Diploma in Dental Surgery / Dental Science;
and
(b) Be registered in the Register of Dentists for Ireland or be entitled to be registered;
and
(c) Have had, since becoming eligible under paragraph (a) above, at least one years’ satisfactory experience in the practice of dentistry;
and
(d) Possess a high standard of professional knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
2.Health
A candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
3.Character
Each candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
Please note that appointment to and continuation in posts that require statutory registration is dependent upon the post holder maintaining annual registration in the Register of Dentists for Ireland maintained by the Dental Council of Ireland.
