Job Description

The following are key areas of responsibility for the general operative:

  • Undertake general cleaning, including laboratories, offices, floors, corridors, stairwells, toilets, etc.
  • Responsible for all basic cleaning of all non-clinical areas of the building.
  • Cleans floors and rooms, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
  • Cleans restrooms, including restocking dispensers, emptying waste bins, cleaning and sanitizing fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot cleaning partition doors and walls, sweeping and mopping tile floors
  • Vacuuming, emptying waste bins, and replacing liners.
  • Set up, stocked, and maintained cleaning equipment and supplies.
  • Monitoring and maintaining sanitation and organization of assigned areas.
  • Consult with the line manager to ensure that you always have sufficient cleaning products.
  • Reporting any breakages that occur during the cleaning process.
  • Informing the line manager of repairs that need to be done.
  • Undertake any other duties as requested.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar cleaning position is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are needed.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible, reliable and punctual
  • Must be thorough and pay good attention to detail.
  • Garda vetting required
