Clerical Officer - Cash Management

Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail are inviting applications for the role of Clerical Officer Grade 1, Cash Management, Connolly Station Head Office.

The Clerical Officer Grade 1, may be tasked with the following duties - 

Role Profile
  • Assisting with the Location Cash Control – LCC process to ensure that cash and credit card revenue is reconciled and lodged to IE bank accounts in a timely manner and in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Proactively identify issues with the LCC process by location.
  • Deliver on key IE risk objectives to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide cover for Executives within the Cash Management team.
  • Daily review of Bank Account Transactions.
  • Daily review of Credit Card payments & charges.
  • Maintaining and uploading a weekly file of banking lodgements.
  • Clearing and reconciling cash control accounts per location.
  • Liaising with locations to rectify errors & differences
  • Issuing periodic location cash statements.
  • Assisting in ad-hoc task as directed by line manager/ Manager.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Daily review of Bank Account Transactions.
  • Daily review of Credit Card payments / charges
  • Upload weekly file of lodgments from Bank.
  • Clearing and reconciling location cash control accounts.
  • Liaising with locations to rectify errors / differences
  • Issuing periodic location cash statements
  • Other duties as instructed by Manager, Cash Management.

Renumeration and Employments details:

The role is offered to external candidates on a 12–24 month fixed term contract basis. The annual salary upon commencement in the position is €49,284.25, incrementing to €50,501.83 following 12 months’ service, inclusive of a 6-month probationary period.

The successful candidate can avail of 24 annual leave days per annum, pro rata.

Following 1 months’ service in the position of Clerical Officer, the successful candidate is eligible for reduced fares on Irish Rail, Dublin Bus & Bus Eireann services for the duration of their contract.

Desirable Skills and Selection Process:

We are particularly keen to review candidates experienced with SAP & SAP BI, and candidates with a background in finance, booking office administration or cash handling. The ideal candidate will have +3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
