The Care Team is very extited to advertise an open position for a Client Care Supervisor for South Dublin. The role is community based and requires a highly organised, flexible self-starter with excellent time management skills and good initiative. This is a hands-on management role based in the community. The successful applicant will be capable of managing all care aspects of day to day operations, be responsible and accountable, possess excellent communication skills and is confident to lead the implementation of all quality care initiatives.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Case management of community based clients - Assessing new clients and developing/drafting client's care plans. Identifying needs and requirements for clients, providing assistance in achieving goals for them to remain in the community.
  • Managing a team of healthcare assistants in the community. Introducing them to service users, shadowing care shifts to ensure the quality of care; training and upskilling healthcare assistants to ensure best quality of care.
  • Assessment and facilitation of new and existing carers and clients regarding:

- Ensure that all changes to care plans are immediately communicated to staff.

- Identify and train care assistants as directed.

- Carry out assessments on clients.

- Introduce care assistants to the clients on their first call

- Spot checking teams of care assistants to ensure:

i. They are working to the agreed care plan.

ii. They are working within their code of practice set out by The Care Team

iii. There is a safe working environment

iv. Equipment is being used correctly

v. Client care is at a high standard

- Supervising and directing activities of care assistants

- Accepting and processing changes and amendments to existing rosters.

- Assigning care workers to clients alongside Rosering team and Client Service Manager

- Ensuring all working patterns meet the needs of the company, clients and carers.

- Provide additional cover for client cases.

- Ensuring adequate cover is available for sickness, absenteeism or holidays.

- Liaising with clients and care workers to ensure an efficient service provision.

- Working with other members of the team to ensure high quality service provision.

- Maintaining accurate client database records.

- Any other duties as deemed necessary by the business.

- On call on week on/ week off basis ( 4 week cycle).

- To support and assist Client Services Manager to complete tasks effectively.

Requirements:

  • FETAC or QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or an equivalent Healthcare Qualification
  • Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a Supervisory roles OR Minimum of 2-years of experience as Healthcare Assistant
  • Good IT skills in Microsoft office and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full Clean Irish/EU Driving Licence
  • Own Car (Optional)
