As a Specialist on the ESG Risk team you will play a key role in developing, implementing and maintaining the Group’s ESG risk related toolkit working across the three lines of defence.

Responsibilities:

• Work to maintain an effective Climate-Related & Environmental (CR&E) Risk Framework for the identification, assessment, monitoring and management of Climate related risks and opportunities, ensuring it aligns and is consistent with the overarching Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
• Support the monthly reporting requirement with timely insightful updates on ESG risk.
• Evaluate and assess whether changes in the internal and external environment, including existing and emerging legislation and regulatory changes, will require changes to the ESG Risk Governance documentation (Policies, Frameworks & Procedures).
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand, define and implement the Bank’s requirements from a Climate Change and Nature degradation perspective, ensuring alignment between Business Strategy & ESG Risk.
• Support the development and preparation of accurate monitoring and reporting of the Bank’s ESG risk profile at both an aggregate and Business Unit level.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by keeping updated on external factors influencing the Risk environment; holding and continuing to develop fluent knowledge of ESG risk, decarbonisation and their latest developments 

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of applicable regulatory and legislative requirements relating to climate change within Financial Services.
• A sound understanding of current and emerging CR&EESG risk management practices, and the key issues that surround ESG risk mitigation and adaption in the Financial Services industry.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Highly organised and demonstrates an ability to work both collectively and independently in a multi-task and multi-focus environment.
• Third level qualification in a relevant discipline or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.

This is a permanent role based in the PTSB Head Office, St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin (Hybrid Options available within Republic of Ireland only).
