Clinical Laboratory Technician – Kearneysville, West Virginia (Job Ref: 26I/LTWV)

We require a highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Laboratory Technician to join a growing company with a Laboratory in Kearneysville, WV. Randox can provide career security and genuine advancement opportunities for those who show potential.

Contract: Permanent, full-time (40 hours per week)

Location: Lab is based in Kearneysville, WV.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine laboratory testing and analysis on samples according to established protocols and procedures
  • Prepare samples for testing, including aliquoting, labelling, and reagent preparation
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment (e.g. analyzers, centrifuges, pipettes)
  • Accurately record test results, observations, and data in laboratory information systems (LIS) or lab notebooks
  • Ensure quality control by running controls, calibrations, and verifying test accuracy
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety regulations, and quality guidelines at all times
  • Identify and report any deviations, instrument issues, or abnormal results to supervisors
  • Assist in troubleshooting basic equipment or process issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory workspace
  • Support inventory management by monitoring and restocking lab supplies and reagents
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely sample processing and reporting

The Candidate:

Essential:
  • BSc. in Biomedical Science and Diploma in Professional Practice or qualified to at least degree level in a Chemistry, Biology, Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
  • Familiarity with basic lab techniques (pipetting, sample handling, instrumentation)
  • Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Possess excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to produce accurate and reliable results
  • Be computer literate

Desirable:
  • Working knowledge of quality systems in particular CLIA, CAP or ISO17025.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety including Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.
