Part Time – 30 Hours per week (0.8 WTE)
Clinical Nurse Manager 1: The 8 -point salary scale for the post as of 01/08/2025:
€57,208, €58,246, €59,709, €61,198, €62,678, €64,167, €65,826, €67,372
New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies.

Horizons is seeking to recruit highly motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Fixed Term Contract) in paediatric services. The successful applicant will work within an interdisciplinary team as a member of Children’s Disability Network Team 6, East Central Cork.
The successful applicant will be required to work in a progressive and dynamic environment supporting children/adults with an intellectual disability and to demonstrate ability and expertise in the Clinical Nurse Manager role.
Requirements:
The successful applicants will:
- Be on the live register of the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland.
- Have not less than three years post registration experience.
- Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland and hold up to date, valid employment permissions.
- Have a Full Clean Drivers License and access to own vehicle.
- Be adaptable and flexible in their approach to the working environment.
- Have excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
- Have initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm.
- Have very good organisational skills.
- Be computer literate e.g. MS Office.
The successful applicants will demonstrate ability and expertise in the following areas:
- The delivery of services to children and young people with complex disabilities.
- Positive leadership and strong communication skills with the ability to work in an inter-disciplinary team environment.
- Collaborate with Parents, Families and Stakeholders.
- Have a very good knowledge of HIQA standards and regulation.
- Demonstrate ability to support children and young people with complex disabilities within a family centred model of service delivery.

A panel may be formed for a 12 month period to fill any future temporary part time CNM1 posts that may arise across the Childrens Disability Network Teams across Horizons.
