We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to join our team in Cork Childrens’ Services, Curraheen, Co Cork

Contract Type: Specified Purpose Contract

Contract Hours: 18.75 hours per week

Salary Scale: €29,122 to € 34,629 per annum.

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 34-37 days per annum pro-rata for less hours worked

Overview of the Post:

Overall Purpose of the Post

To work as a member of the inter-disciplinary team providing services to children, young people (0-18 years) and families enrolled with the team. The nurse on a Children’s Disability Network Team has a pivotal role in the delivery of effective, high quality, team based support to children and young people with complex needs arising from their disability. This is to be done in partnership with their families, school staff and other stakeholders in their daily lives. This post will involve holding a key contact role for children and their families, nursing assessments and participation in team based assessments, intervention, carrying out Individual Family Service Planning meetings with families, programme planning and implementation and review of same. Provision of training and advice to families, staff and other professionals and carers will also be a significant part of this role.

The successful candidate will have

Essential Criteria:

  • A recognised validated University Degree or an equivalent qualification in Nursing.

· Are registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI].

· Annual Registration: On appointment, practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the appropriate/relevant Division of the register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) for the role

AND

Have a minimum of 5 years post qualification full-time experience

AND

Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development

AND

Have a minimum of 3 years working at a senior level, or in a supervisory capacity

  • Be eligible to work in the state.
  • Hold full clean drivers licence and willingness to drive service vehicles.

Desirable Criteria:

· Having a minimum of 3 years’ experience of working with Children/Young people with disabilities (physical disability, autism, learning disability) and their families
