- Urology, General, Gynae as well as Oral Max Fax, Breast and ENT.
Full-time (37.5 hours per week) | Permanent |
Candidate Criteria:
Qualifications
· Registered nurse/midwife on the active Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
· Confirm annual registration with NMBI
· Postgraduate course or relevant educational course (Desirable)
· Management Qualification (Desirable)
Experience
· Must have 3 years post registration experience in an acute hospital setting, in the last 5 years.
· With at least one of those years being within the specialty or related area.
· Have the clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.
· Experience with an Electronic Health Record (Desirable)
· Preceptorship experience (Desirable)
The Purpose of This Role:
As a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) – Theatre, you will play a vital role in leading and delivering exceptional patient care within the surgical environment. Your expertise will ensure that every patient receives safe, efficient, and high-quality care during surgical procedures. You will also be instrumental in supporting and developing the nursing team to maintain the highest professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Be responsible for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation, and review of care for patients according to BSHS standards in conjunction with the CNMII.
· Provide clinical and professional leadership to the nursing team in the theatre.
· Ensure the highest standards of patient care are delivered safely and effectively.
· Oversee the operational and clinical activities within the theatre, ensuring smooth workflows.
· Support and mentor nursing staff through in-service training and professional development.
· Coordinate the orientation of new staff and provide guidance to student nurses.
· Maintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in surgical care.
· Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
