Overview of the role

The Clinical Nurse Manager II has overall responsibility for the Patients and Staff on Oak Unit within the Spinal Cord System of Care Programme. The Post holder is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care, ensuring the safety of patients and staff, encouraging a learning environment in order to develop all grades of staff, fostering a team environment, patient advocacy within the Interdisciplinary team, ensuring good public relations, direct Staff in the event of an emergency within the hospital or its precincts.

The candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed application forms for the office, possess:

  • Must be registered in the General Division of the NMBI.
  • Minimum 5 years’ post registration experience.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience as CNM I in Spinal Rehabilitation is essential.
  • Relevant post registration qualification is desirable/a willingness to complete same.
  • Post Registration qualification in Rehabilitation; Spinal Injury; or Neurosurgical or Neuro-disability Nursing is advantageous.
  • Management course desirable.
  • Evidence of proven clinical and professional ability, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills are essential.

This is a permanent full-time vacancy within the Nursing Department. Salary for this post is aligned with HSE Clinical Nurse Manager II PayScale.---
