Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Blackrock)

• 1.0 WTE (37.5 hours)
• Indefinite duration contract
• H.S.E. funded
• Based in Blackrock

The CNM 2 will co-ordinate and lead in the implementation and provision of quality specialist palliative care and will:

• Manage resources, lead the team and be accountable for nursing activity and outcomes of care.
• Function as a role model, promote best practice in the delivery of care, and provide clinical expertise and support within the Inter Disciplinary Team.
• Support, assist and facilitate colleagues in achieving positive outcomes as developed for the Ward/Unit/Department.
• Encourage a culture of openness and participation through effective communication.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications:

· Registered on the Live Register in the General Division of the Register of Nurses as maintained by An Bord Altranais

· Hold or be currently undertaking a post graduate qualification in palliative care

Experience:

• Five years post registration experience
• 2 years’ experience in Specialist Palliative Care
• Management experience
• Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role including proficient IT skills
• Evidence of consistent updating of clinical skills and knowledge
• Experience of formal and informal teaching

Desirable Requirements

Qualifications:

• Management Qualification

Experience:

• Management experience in the Specialist area.
• Experience of Regulation inspections
• Experience with participation within an MDT
• Demonstrable Coaching & Development skills within clinical practice
