Location of Post:

Portiuncula University Hospital, Ballinasloe, West and North West Health Region.

There is currently one specified purpose whole-time post available for temporary assignment until mid September 2026. The successful candidate may be required to work in any service area within the vicinity as the need arises.

A panel may be formed for Clinical Nurse Manager 3, Paediatrics, Portiuncula University Hospital, Galway, from which current and future permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full time or part time duration may be filled.

Purpose of the Post:

This CNM3 post will ensure the oversight of safe patient care across the Paediatric service (incorporating ED, OPD, Paediatric ward, surgical and medical paediatric services and any other areas children attend.

The CNM3 Paediatrics will support the effective and efficient management of scheduled and unscheduled care through Paediatric services.

This CNM3 post will play a critical role in the work of the PUH working group for the critically ill and Deteriorating child, while in ED/Paediatric Ward or ICU prior to transfer to a tertiary center and will be part of the Paediatric Governance Group.
