Clinical Nurse Manager Night, Community Hospital, Older Persons Services

The Post holder will have excellent communication skills and will engage directly with the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing as necessary. They will handover relevant information and receive handover/ relevant information from the Nurse manager at evening and morning handovers and will engage indirectly by email or written communication with the Director of Nursing, Assistant Directors of Nursing and CNM2 as required. The Post holder will engage directly with the residents, their families and friends. The CNM3 will engage directly with both the Nursing and HealthCare Assistant teams, working, together to provide safe care to residents during night hours.

The Purpose of the Post:

To provide professional / clinical leadership in the designated area(s) of responsibility. To oversee the management of resources including staffing and staff development. To facilitate communication across the healthcare teams.

The CNM3 Night is central to effective management of the unit and provides support to staff working at night

The post holder is part of a senior Nurse Management internal structure and takes the responsibility for the whole unit at night.
