Clinical Nurse Manager, Operating Theatre

The Hospital is inviting applications for the following post:

CNM3–Operating Theatre

Essential:

· RGN

· Evidence of continuous professional development.

· Recognised qualification in Operating Department

Nursing

· Five years post registration operating theatre experience.

· Minimum of two years in a management position at C.N.M. 2 level or equivalent.

· Up to date knowledge of care planning for perioperative patients.

· Understanding and application of research.

· Clinical/nursing audit methods.

· Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) regulatory function.

· National Maternity Strategy

· National ,Standards for Safer Better Maternity Care (HIQA)

· Knowledge of Midwifery & Nursing Educational Programmes

· Knowledge of workload measurement tools and skill mix

· Scope of professional practice.

· Mandatory training, NRP, STABLE, BLS, Fire

· Experience in preceptoring students / new staff.

· Children’s First

· Knowledge of value of IT systems
