Clinical Nurse Manager, Shift Leader, Emergency Department

The person appointed to this post will work within the Acute Healthcare setting working as part of multi-disciplinary teams delivering a coordinated approach to patient care. The Emergency Department provides 24/7 emergency care. Regrettably admitted patients are also care for in this department when inpatient capacity has been exceeded.

The Emergency Department is managed operationally and professionally by a CNM3 in conjunction with Emergency Medicine Consultants. There is a strong emphasis on multi-disciplinary team work within the department.

The CNMII has a responsibility to assist with the development of nursing staff by means of in-service training and education utilising resources such as NIRSP, HSE land etc.
