Clinical Nurse Manager

Purpose of the Post

• The post holder will be responsible for:
• Ensuring best use of available Nursing and Health Care Assistants resources on a daily basis.
• Use of Trendcare to assist in planning of safe staffing levels.
• Planning and organising rosters.
• Liaising with all Unit Managers regarding planning, planned leave and the locum required.
• Ensuring all unplanned leave, additional hours, overtime etc. is entered on the Allocate system in a timely manner, to ensure backfill of vacancies.
• Ensuring that the National Framework for Agency utilisation is adhered to at all times.
• Ensure Off Framework agency is limited to REO approval at all times.
• Liaising closely with the Assistant Directors of Nursing regarding roster management.

Post Specific Requirements

• Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience of quality, patient safety, resource and risk management, as relevant to the role.
• There may be a requirement to work out of hours to include evenings, week-ends and night duty.

• Access to appropriate transport as this post may involve frequent travel.
