Purpose of the Role:

The post holder has a pivotal role in co-ordination and management of activity and resources within the clinical area. The main responsibilities are staffing and staff development, facilitating communication and professional/clinical leadership.

The role will proactively manage the Theatre daily activities, together with the CNM2 to provide quality and safety outcomes for patients and their families.

Essential Criteria:

· RGN/RCN registered with NMBI

· Minimum 3 years post registration with theatre nursing experience in an acute clinical environment within the last 7 years.

· A primary degree in Nursing or Post Graduate Diploma / Qualification in Nursing RCN/RGN

· Relevant Post Graduate qualification in Peri-operative Nursing Level 9
