Purpose of the Post:

The purpose of this Clinical Nurse Specialist Ophthalmology post is to:

Deliver care in line with the five core concepts of the role set out in the framework for the establishment of Clinical Nurse Specialists Posts, 4th edition, National Council for the professional development of Nursing and Midwifery (NCNM 2008) by:

• Providing nursing expertise in the area of Ophthalmology, education and a consultation service to patients their family and/or carers, nursing and healthcare professional colleagues.
• Working as a key member of the Ophthalmology team in the promotion of a person centred approach to patients and their families. The successful candidate will have a key role in developing
