Clinical Nurse Specialist pOSITIVE bEHAVIOUR SUPPORT / CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST candidate
LIMERICK REGION
PERMANENT FULL-TIME CONTRACT (37.5 Hours Per Week).
Salary: €62,699-€79,227 * (lsi)
*Salary subject to Relevant Public Sector Experience and pro-rated for hours of work.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our PBS and Intellectual Disability specialist multidisciplinary team and will provide specialist nursing input to a defined case load of supported individuals with complex and diverse needs using evidence-based specialist nursing skills and person-centred principles. The successful candidate will be working alongside an ANP in the specialist area and with other CNS in PBS within the Service area of Limerick/Roscrea.
Essential:
- Registration with the Intellectual Disability Division of the Register of Nurses held by NMBI.
- Maintained annual registration with the NMBI.
- Have a minimum of five years’ post registration experience, of which two must be in the specialist area of Positive Behaviour Support and Intellectual Disability.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork and effective caseload management skills.
- Can practice safely and effectively fulfilling their professional responsibilities within their scope of practice.
- Have successfully completed a level 9 post-registration QQI national qualification relevant to the specialist area (Positive Behaviour Support and Intellectual Disability) or be prepared to undertake the required postgraduate education at level 9 qualification relevant to the specialist area as candidate Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.
- Competent and possess an in-depth knowledge and experience of the Microsoft suite.
- Be knowledgeable of The Health Act 2007 and HIQA regulations
- Full clean manual Irish driving licence.
- Proficiency in the English language.
Desirable:
- Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
- Knowledgeable of Shaping the future of intellectual Disability Nursing in Ireland (2018) and Sláinte Care (2018).
