HX26-074: Clinical Research Nurse in Palliative Care (Fixed-Term contract)

  • 1.0 WTE (37.5 hours)
  • Fixed-Term contract
  • Board of Directors funded
  • Based in the Education and Research Centre, Harold’s Cross, Dublin 6W

The post holder will be responsible for the design, planning, implementation and conduct of multiple research projects within the ADPM. He/she will provide nursing care to patients enrolled in the studies.

It is expected that the postholder will undertake a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in either Trinity College Dublin (TCD) or University College Dublin (UCD). The PhD will be supported by OLH&CS and funded through the ADPM.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Registered on the Live Register in the General Division of the Register of Nurses as maintained by An Bord Altranais
  • Post holder must meet the entry requirements for PhD at the relevant University

Experience:

  • Research experience
  • Have post-registration experience within the division of the register in which the applicant is currently practicing
  • Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role
  • Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice
  • Must demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development

  • Palliative care experience
