Clinical Risk Manager

Clinical Risk Manager (Permanent | Full-time | Grade VII)

Applicants should have:

· A QQI academic award at Level 8 or higher.

· A Clinical qualification.

· At least three years’ experience in a Clinical or Quality / Patient Safety / Risk management role in a hospital or healthcare setting.

· Expert knowledge of risk and incident management systems, tools, techniques and processes.

· Knowledge, understanding and application of safety statements, risk assessments, risk registers, reporting, monitoring and auditing.

· Understanding of the statutory requirements relating to patient safety, risk management, and demonstrate the ability to interpret the law in the context of the organisation.

· Demonstrate theoretical and specialist practical knowledge of relevant National Policies and Strategies in relation to risk management.

· Be able to work on own initiative, prioritise and manage several issues simultaneously while demonstrating the ability to maintain attention to detail.

· Excellent written communication skills including strong report writing and presentation skills and demonstrate excellent attention to detail throughout all verbal and written communication.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to deal effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
