Full Time, Permanent Contract

This post represents an exciting opportunity to work with an experienced multidisciplinary team based primarily in Clontarf. The role will provide clinical, educational and research guidance and support to colleagues in the CRC and to referrers nationwide. The Clinical Specialist will be expected to evaluate and disseminate evidence-based practice in the area of gait and movement analysis thereby influencing clinical practice.

Essential requirements are:

Current CORU registration for Physiotherapists.

  • A degree or recognised qualification in Physiotherapy which is validated by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists
  • Membership or eligibility for membership of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience full-time post qualification of which 4 years are at a senior level in the field of clinical gait analysis with ability to demonstrate credibility.
  • Evidence of relevant Continuing Professional Development
  • Advanced knowledge of biomechanics and clinical gait analysis
  • Evidence of international dissemination of relevant research.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication, initiative, time management and teamwork skills

Desirable requirements are:

  • Evidence of service delivery planning and development
  • Evidence of teaching/lecturing on the specialty.

It must be clearly demonstrated in your CV and supporting statement how you meet the required skills, competencies and knowledge for the post. Department of Health Salary Scale apply, Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist(€71,405 - €82,860).
