Essential Requirements:
✨ Bachelor of Science in Clinical Speech and Language Studies from the University of Dublin or an equivalent qualification. Professional qualifications obtained outside the Republic of Ireland, including the U.K., must go through the Recognition process as outlined by CORU (www.coru.ie) prior to commencement of the contract.
AND
✨ Registered with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist (www.coru.ie). Please state your CORU registration number on your CV and on your letter of application
Membership or eligibility for membership of the Irish Association of Speech and Language Therapists (IASLT).
AND
✨ Have a minimum of five years satisfactory post qualification experience working with children or adults with communication and swallowing impairment in an acute hospital setting.
AND
✨ Experience of working in a paediatric critical care unit
AND
✨ Postgraduate education in paediatric dysphagia assessment and management including neonatal competencies and advanced videofluoroscopy competencies.
AND
✨ Postgraduate experience and advanced competencies in the management of tracheostomy patients.
AND
✨ Experience of supervision of SLT colleagues.
