Clinical Tutor And Registrar In Neurology, Contract Type A

The School of Medicine at NUI Galway is seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for a hospital-based Clinical Tutor and Registrar post in Neurology on a fixed-term, full time basis for circa six months commencing in December 2021 or January 2022. You will join progressive and professional teams based in NUI Galway School of Medicine and a busy, tertiary referral Clinical Neurology Department in the Galway University Hospitals.

Salary:

Appointments will be made on the Clinical Tutor 1 salary scale: €57,987 – €68,285 per annum pro rata or Clinical Tutor 2: €69,835 - €85,520 per annum pro rata.

The relevant salary scale will be determined based on candidate’s experience

(This appointment will be made on Clinical tutor scale in line with current Government pay policy)

(For pre 1995 public sector entrants in Ireland, the D class Salary rates will apply)

**Interviews are planned for Mid November 2021**

At the start of the interview each Candidate will be asked to give a 10-minute presentation entitled ‘My approach to facilitating neurology teaching in the clinical environment.’ to the Board of Assessors

Garda vetting will apply.
