The Hospital is inviting applications for the following post:

CNMS Neonatal Lactation Support

Essential:

• Be registered in the General, Midwives and/or Children’s Division of the register of Nurses and Midwives.
• Achieved a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), major academic Level 8 award, or higher relevant to the specialist are of Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing prior to application.
• Be an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant.
• Evidence of continuous professional development including completion of BLS, NRP, Preceptorship and 20-hour Breastfeeding.
• 5years post registration.
• A minimum of 2 years’ full time (or an aggregate of 2 years full time experience) experience in a Level 3 Unit.
• Experience in looking after infants from 23 weeks gestation upwards.
• Have the ability to practice safely and effectively fulfilling his/her professional responsibility within his/her scope of practice.
• Responsible for own Continuing Professional Development.
