We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Co-Ordinator of PDSS Occupational Therapy Led Clinics to join our team in Cork Childrens Services, The Lavanagh Centre, Curraheen, Co Cork T12 D768
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: 17.5 hours per week
Salary Scale: €72,355 to €88,424 pro rata per annum.
Annual Leave Entitlement:33 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12
months service.
Overview of the Post:
Under the lead agency of Enable Ireland and within the Progressing Disability Services Model, CHO4 Physical Disability Support Service (PDSS) provides support to clinicians, children and families attending CDNTs and Primary Care. The service includes assessment diagnostics and intervention for children with physical disability, and works on the development of clinical competencies in teams working with children with complex physical disabilities.
The post holder will:
· Provide a coordinating role to the Occupational Therapy Led clinics (Seating Clinic and Upper Limb Clinic) within PDSS in CHO4.
· Provide clinical assurance and governance.
· Facilitate and support quality service delivery and service development.
· Provide Line management supervision to the clinicians and staff allocated to the Seating and Upper Limb clinics in PDSS.

The successful candidate will have
Essential Criteria:
- A recognised validated University Degree or Diploma or an equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy.
- Evidence of up to date CORU registration.
- Minimum of 5 years working experience as Senior Occupational Therapist.
- Minimum of 5 years’ full time post qualification experience in the area of disability.
- Minimum of 5 years post qualification interdisciplinary working with children with a range of disabilities / developmental delay and their families.
- Experience of managing services.
- Experience of involvement in clinical service development.
- Supervisory experience.
- Possess a full clean driving license.
- Must be eligible to work in the State
Desirable Criteria:
- Post graduate training relevant to children’s disability services.
- Training and experience in children’s physical disability practice areas including assistive technology, seating / postural management and upper limb management.
- Relevant training / experience in service management / coordination and development, supervision, caseload management and prioritisation, quality service and risk management, recruitment practices, clinical audits.
· Experience in planning and delivering training
