€57,375 - €82,048 per annum* This role will be filled in line with Public Pay Policy at Point 1 of the relevant Salary Scale unless the successful candidate is appointed from an existing public sector role

Maximise the impact of strategic B2B platforms & travel trade by activating regional and seasonal sales opportunities, optimising distribution channels, and enabling industry partners to convert demand into growth across diverse markets.
Job Description
Primary Objectives/Key Responsibilities
Strategic
Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to develop specific business development plans aligned to strategic priorities.
Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to develop saleable propositions aligned to strategic priorities.
Collaborate with internal & external stakeholders to support industry distribution strategies through all channels.
Proactively source information around consumer trends and emerging markets.
Support dissemination of trends, insights & research to industry and internal stakeholders
Provide expertise, insight and innovative ideas that will help to build business development capability.
Feed into the wider Fáilte Ireland Business Unit’s strategic plans for growth.
Deliver on all personal KPIs, oversee team KPIs and actively contribute to achieving the Divisional KPIs.
Manage strategic partnerships and external agencies to ensure objectives are delivered.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders with emphasis on intra industry relations domestically and internationally.
Communicate the Fáilte Ireland strategy to key stakeholders.
Provide regular feedback from stakeholders to line manager.
Operational
Manage all staff reporting to the position to effectively train, evaluate, motivate, delegate, and monitor their activities.
Conduct Performance Reviews in line with Fáilte Ireland policy.
Proactively develop the skills of the team to ensure they attain the appropriate level of competence.
Ensure all activity is delivered on time and on budget.
Write requests for tenders as and when required.
Analyse campaigns and activity to identify trends and provide timely, accurate reports.
Ensure data, learnings and Return on Investment analysis from campaigns are reported back to the business.
Ensure that any procurement of work from a third party is implemented in line with Fáilte Ireland procurement policy.
Manage the budget in accordance with Fáilte Ireland policy.
Ensure a Return on Investment for Sales initiatives..
Carry out all other duties as required and participate as a full member of the Commercial Development Team by supporting different work projects, as required, from time to time.
The flexibility to travel and work unsociable hours are key elements of this role.
This role requires travel, with attendance at a number of national and regional locations / sites on an annual basis.
The flexibility to travel domestically, and on occasion internationally is an element of this role
Essential Criteria
We are looking for an individual that has articulate communication with strong interpersonal skills and has effective and efficient organisation and planning skills and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
In order to be eligible to apply for this role you must have / demonstrate in your application form the following:
Minimum of three years' experience in a sales/business development function
Demonstrate an understanding of Ireland’s tourism industry, routes to market etc.
Experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and successfully building external and internal partnerships
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
Access to own means of transport
People management experience
Qualifications/Mandatory Training
A Professional Qualification (minimum Level 6 under the QQI Framework), in a related discipline is essential – Hospitality or Business-related field
