Commercial Support Team Member

A position has become available in the Buying Department for a

Commercial Support Team Member – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

This position will assist and contribute towards the development and maintenance of our Buying Division. Reporting to the Buying Manager and/or any other Member of Management as necessary.

Role Purpose:

  • To provide administrative support and other necessary support to the Buying Team.
  • To be proactive in maintaining the Company’s product and price file.
  • To produce and develop KPI reports for the Buying Department.

Key tasks include:

  • Prioritise and deal with the Category Team and Supplier administration.
  • Meet all deadlines i.e. P.L.O.F., selling sheets, pricing, BP, handbills, advertising, seasonal promotions etc.
  • Make sure the integrity of the product and price file are correct at all times i.e. ensure that all new lines (both Warehouse and Central Billing) are listed correctly. Including all product codes, description, price, pack size, barcodes etc.
  • Set up all codes for new products and pricing etc.
  • Pro-actively manage all customer and supplier queries, and ensure they are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain and control the P.L.O.F. updates, all promotional and selling sheets, BP and any other documents that need to be printed.
  • All price changes – cost, sell, retails, and bonuses.
  • Represent the Company in a professional manner.
  • Work in conjunction with fellow Administration Team Members to meet all Departmental deadlines.
  • Assist in data preparation for key supplier meetings.
  • Have a high level of customer care when involved in retailer interactions.
  • Work with a flexible schedule and demonstrate effective time management.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent IT skills- specifically Excel with respect to large data sets.
  • A strong focus on quality customer service.
  • Strong analytical skills and judgement.
  • Ability to work in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A proven record of willingness to take the initiative and adopt a proactive approach.
  • Good motivational skills and be capable of working well on one’s own or as a member of a team.
  • Planning and organisational skills.
