You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of Asset Finance relationships with key vendor partners in the Asset Finance sector. Acting as the main point of contact between PTSB Asset Finance and the newly developed vendor network this will include relationship development, performance reviews and feedback sessions with a growing portfolio of vendors.
Strategic Importance of the Role-This position in Asset Finance plays a pivotal role in shaping the bank’s Asset Finance market position within Ireland’s competitive financial services sector. This role is central to driving sustainable growth in asset finance by aligning divisional objectives with the wider corporate strategy of the bank. By leveraging deep sector knowledge and market insights, the Senior Manager ensures that product offerings remain relevant, commercially viable, and responsive to customer needs, while also safeguarding prudent risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements. The position carries significant responsibility for strengthening the bank’s reputation in asset-based lending, fostering innovation in financing solutions, and supporting the overall profitability and resilience of the institution.
Responsibilities:
- Vendor Relationship Management – develop new and maintain strong relationships with Asset Finance approved suppliers to build vendor finance partnerships. Influencing Requirements of the Role -Success in this role depends on the ability to influence across multiple levels of the organisation and the wider market. The role holder must engage effectively with internal stakeholders, including executive leadership, credit, risk, and operations teams, to secure alignment and support for strategic initiatives. Externally, the role requires strong relationship-building skills with clients, industry partners, regulators, and other financial institutions to enhance the bank’s profile of Asset Finance and create long-term opportunities. The ability to present compelling business cases, negotiate effectively, and manage complex stakeholder expectations is critical. This requires a balance of commercial acumen, clear communication, and sound judgment, ensuring that the bank continues to build trust, deliver value, and maintain its important position in the Irish financial services market.
- Business Development Support by acting as the main point of contact between the Asset Finance department and its newly developed vendor network. Working with existing Relationship Managers ad their customers to identify new vendor partnership opportunities to expand the asset finance portfolio. Support vendor onboarding processes, ensuring timely setup, and training with the appropriate governance and approvals.
- Provide an excellent level of customer service, further improving the customer experience with both over the phone and face to face interactions. Generate and execute sales from lead (where qualified to do so) to fulfilment in accordance with the Omni-Channel ethos and activity management system
- Sales and Pipeline Management – working closely with the new business development teams you will drive deal flow through the vendor channels and support transactions. You will monitor pipeline activity and conversion rates for vendor originated business.
- The role holder will provide advice and day to day transactional support to our customers across a range of financial products, at all times supporting our customers to enable them to achieve their financial goals.
Requirements:
- Minimum APA in Loans.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with Vendors / Approved Asset Finance Suppliers
- Strong credit and financial analysis skills and a good understanding of the finance requirements of Irish SMEs
- Full driving license as this role will require you to travel.
- Comfortable working with data to assess portfolio performance, vendor performance and trends to report and escalate on performance.
- Ability to organise and prioritise workloads appropriately, with strong attention to detail, and show determination and flexibility to deliver to very challenging deadlines.
