Commis Chef
This is an exciting opportunity for am ambitious individual who wants to grow their knowledge and skill level in culinary arts.
If you are a passionate individual who is willing to learn, this is an excellent opportunity to join an award winning Michelin star restaurant and work alongside an array of extremely talented chefs where you can learn and develop new skills.
This position will be responsible in assisting the other chefs in the preparation of food for our dinner service.
The hours of work are also very atrractive offering a day shift starting from 10am to 6pm, five days per week. Hours may be flexible.
The duties also include:
- Prepare, cook and present food to a consistently high standard for all food service areas of the hotel in conjunction with the kitchen team
- To ensure that wastage is kept to a minimum at all times.
- ·Ensure that all food is stored hygienically and in accordance with the kitchen departmental procedures in place, particularly cold rooms and fridges.
- To operate machines and cooking equipment in a safe and responsible manner
- To ensure that all hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times in all areas of the hotel particularly the food production areas.
Skills / Attributes Required
- Passion and knowledge of Food
- Fluent English
- Willingness to learn and improve skills
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Ability to adapt / Quick Learner
- Ability to work as part of a team
