Purpose and Function of the Post
The postholder will play a key role in developing, overseeing and implementing key strategic programmes and projects that drive forward Council’s ambitious corporate vision and objectives.
The postholder will be required to establish, implement and manage a strategic approach to community and programme development to include, sourcing, accessing, and delivering progamme investment, and implementing the necessary procedures, processes and controls to professionally oversee the management and delivery of same.
The postholder will develop and manage strategic partnerships to collaborate and deliver strategic outcomes, and be capable of managing complex projects with a high level of stakeholder relationships.
The Council may retain a list of reserve candidates arising from this recruitment campaign, for any vacancies which may arise which are the same or similar and are of an equal grade of pay. This list will be valid for 12months. “Another similar vacancy” is defined as a post with a similar job description and person specification and on the same salary scale, which may be in a different department or duration to the vacancy initially advertised. Another similar vacancy does not include posts where the similarity relates solely to the salary scale.
