Community Education Facilitator -National Arborist Apprenticeship Coordinator (Re-advertisement)

  • Represent GRETB: - in leading, developing and providing, the National Apprenticeship in Arboriculture;
  • Participate in employer engagement activities including, establishing and maintaining effective links with employers and the recruitment of employers and apprentices for the National Apprenticeship in Arboriculture;
  • Business development of the apprenticeship through marketing and promotion through various platforms;
  • Project management of the operational phase of the apprenticeship;
  • Liaising and working closely with the GRETB Senior Manager;
  • Work closely with the Lead Instructor/Academic Supervisor to ensure that appropriately qualified instructors are available to deliver all of the prescribed modules.
  • Manage the development and production of blended learning resources, course content and the creation of assessments in keeping with the validated programme and module learning outcomes;
  • Liaise and cooperate with the appointed GRETB QA Officer ensuring that all of the Quality Assurance procedures as agreed with QQI as part of the Validation process are adhered to;
  • Ensure that all the necessary resources and facilities are available for the operational delivery of the National Apprenticeship in Arboriculture;
  • Ensure that all learner activities “on the job, off the job and on the virtual learning platforms” are supported throughout through the apprenticeship journey;
  • Register learners in each training centre at the beginning of Year 1;
  • Maintain positive collaborative relations with all stakeholders;
  • Participate in annual course/calendar planning;
  • Work closely with the network of Authorised Officers throughout the country;
  • Act as secretary to the National Programme Board, National Exam Board and Consortium Steering Group;
  • Generate and collect such reports as necessary for GRETB, the National Programme Board, The Consortium Steering Group, National Examination Board and the RPL Board;
  • Participate on various apprenticeship boards and fora as required;
  • Such other duties as may be specified by management within GRETB
