Community Facilitator
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, energetic and driven Community Facilitator to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. As the Community Facilitator, you will play a vital role in expanding Grow Remote’s grassroots reach in Ireland, engaging with local communities and driving initiatives to connect and empower remote employees in your local region.
Location: Fully remote, anywhere in the Republic of Ireland
Responsibilities:
Contribute to the implementation of the Grow Remote Events and Training plans as well as relevant enabling activities, as agreed
Develop and implement strategies to establish and grow chapters (local groups) of remote workers across your region.
Support local leaders in your region through 1:1 conversations, group sessions, and at overnight retreats
Coordinate and organise creative, fun and engaging events to connect remote workers locally
Lead efforts to increase attendance at community events and track this using data you have collected.
Hold your own as an integral part of a small, innovative and dynamic Community team at Grow Remote
Build relationships with all digital hubs and co-working spaces in your region and represent Grow Remote at external events in your region
Build and leverage strong relationships with local enterprises, educational institutions, and community partners in your region.
Requirements:
Previous experience in community-building, event coordination, or related fields.
A demonstrated understanding of Grow Remote’s mission and community
Alignment with Grow Remote’s organisational culture and values
Passion for remote work and its potential to positively impact local communities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders across a range of platforms
Strong facilitation skills and demonstrated experience in hosting events
Strong organisational abilities to manage events, projects, and community initiatives simultaneously across multiple locations in your region
Outgoing and enthusiastic demeanour, just as comfortable one on one or in a large group
Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing to a dynamic team environment.
Full driving licence and a willingness to travel across your region
Flexible working hours, including some evenings and weekends
Desired:
Familiarity with the community infrastructure in your region and an authentic desire to connect with local stakeholders.
Experience capturing moments at events and telling stories through photography and videography
Comfortable working with graphic design software (eg. Canva)
Experience of working in a remote company
Benefits
Salary: €40,000
