CRC Adult Day Services is seeking two Community Support Workers who want to be part of an energetic, person‑centred service that’s transforming how adults with complex needs are supported to live full, self‑directed lives. In this role, you’ll work directly with individuals to progress their personal goals through a Person‑Centred Planning (PCP) process aligned with HSE New Directions, while also providing individualised personal care where needed. With services delivered around each person’s life and routine, flexibility to work some evenings and weekends is essential — and it also means your work will be varied, dynamic, and genuinely meaningful. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as required is essential as services are delivered in line with the needs of the individuals (Monday to Sunday roster 8am-8pm).

As Community Support Worker, you will:

  • Keep the adults we support at the centre of all we do
  • Develop and support adults with their person-centred plans in line with HSE New Direction Policy
  • Create and lead out on individualised and group activities in line which reflect adults’ choices
  • Key work with adults
  • Transport adults to and from service, and in the community in designated CRC transport
  • Support adults to become active participants in their own communities and live a life of their choosing
  • Facilitate and support adults to link in with external agencies and community organisations
  • Explore and provide new opportunities, activities, and experiences in the community for adults
  • Deliver a high standard of personal care and support as required, such as significant feeding and swallowing difficulties, including specific supports such as suctioning
  • Keep up-to-date administration records as required
  • Support completion and submission of funding applications under guidance of line manager

Applicants for this position should have the following essential criteria:

  • A minimum Social Studies or other relevant qualification such as Healthcare Support – QQI Level 5 full award is essential
  • Full Manual Driving License valid in the state
  • At least 6 months' experience working with adults with disabilities. This should include management of all aspects of personal care
  • A working knowledge of the New Directions policy
  • Working knowledge of Safeguarding and Safeguarding policies
  • Key Worker for adults with disabilities, including complex needs
  • Developing a person-centered plan.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good awareness of health and safety issues
  • Be an excellent and innovative team member with a strong commitment to the empowerment of adults with a disability

The following criteria are desirable but not essential:

  • The ability to plan and work with adults and their supports to ensure a meaningful day in line with their aspirations
  • The ability to work on your own initiative
  • Supporting adults with significant feeding and swallowing difficulties, including specific supports such as suctioning, enteral feeding – Training will be provided
  • Administration of medication – Training will be provided
  • IT Proficient in the MS suit

  • Respect: Working with a variety of stakeholders and teams across the CRC to promote buy in for strategic changes, reflection, and continuous improvement
  • Courage: Thinking creatively and boldly to generate actionable insights through case studies, visualising data and knowledge products for a wider audience
  • Collaboration: Engaging relevant stakeholders to determine appropriate monitoring activities and obtain data. Where data is not currently available, working with stakeholders to establish appropriate systems and processes to address gaps
  • Stewardship: Highlighting evidence-based examples of good practice, efficiency and value for money arising from strategy implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
