As Compliance Monitoring Specialist, you will be responsible for performing Compliance Monitoring and Credit Quality Assurance reviews assigned from the annual Compliance Monitoring & Assurance Plan. Reviews on the Plan assess PTSB¿s:

¿ Compliance with banking regulations across Consumer Protection, Financial Crime, Prudential, and Data Protection; and

¿ Credit quality of its loan book across a number of product lines.

Your responsibilities will include agreeing remedial actions to address issues identified and monitoring completion within agreed timeframes.

You will have frequent interactions with key business stakeholders (e.g., Retail Banking, Group Operations) and other Risk, Assurance and Compliance teams. You will be highly efficient, with an excellent ability to plan and prioritise, and have a proven track-record in meeting tight deadlines. You will have excellent report writing skills and strong attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

Functional Strategy & Delivery

  • As part of a dedicated team, plan and undertake assigned Compliance Monitoring and Credit Quality Assurance reviews.
  • Escalate issues identified through monitoring activities to the relevant First Line of Defence management team in a timely manner and recommend value-adding solutions.

Risk Management & Control

  • Deliver high quality reports to capture the outcomes from monitoring reviews.
  • Actively promote risk management, identifying where risks exist and ensure the Business implement adequate mitigants and controls.

High Performance Teams

  • Build trust and credibility within the team and business.
  • Be part of a cohesive and supportive CMAT team which work together to improve management of risk and compliance within the bank.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the business with the ability to engage, challenge and promote best in class risk management practices and standards.
  • Continuously strengthen relationships with all stakeholders, harnessing key connections and associations within and outside PTSB.

Requirements: 


  • Experience of Risk Management in a financial services environment, preferably specialising in Third Party Risk, with a clear understanding and knowledge of the risks associated with introducing third party suppliers.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate complex information to a business audience.
  • Capable of building positive relationships internally and externally, in-person and virtually.
  • The ability to multi-task, prioritise and maintain focus on driving towards a positive outcome.
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft Suite, including but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Teams.


This is a 12 month fixed term contract role based in Dublin (Hybrid).
