Construction & Mechanical Area Manager Grade VII
Purpose of the Role
The delivery of the new hospital will provide services to children, young people and their families in the new children’s hospital and its outpatient and urgent care centres. It will enable delivery of the right information, in the right format, in the right place, at the right time, to the right person.
The role of the Construction Area Manager is to work closely with the NPHDB to assess the work in progress, completed infrastructure and physical environment from a civil, structural and architectural perspective, to ensure it is completed to the design specifications / details and the finishes are satisfactory for operational and maintenance purposes and for future improvement during the Life cycle of the building.
Essential Criteria:
· A third level degree/post-graduate qualification in a management discipline such as Construction Management, Project Management or Facilities Management, Building Services Management plus 3+ years’ experience in a management role carrying out duties similar to the purpose of this role and Job description
Or
· 10+ years’ experience in a management discipline carrying out duties similar to the purpose of this role and Job description within a healthcare environment for example a Technical Services Manager with construction experience.
