Construction Plant Fitting Apprentice

Are you interested in mechanical repairs and looking to start a career in a skilled trade?

Comeragh Machinery & Auto Repairs is looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice Mechanic to join our team and complete the recognised SOLAS Construction Plant Fitting Apprenticeship.

The Role

You'll receive hands-on training while learning to:

* Service, maintain and repair forklifts and material handling equipment

* Carry out servicing and repairs on cars and light commercial vehicles

* Diagnose mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults

* Carry out routine inspections and preventative maintenance

* Use modern workshop tools and diagnostic equipment

* Work safely and to a high standard

Who We're Looking For

* We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and keen to learn.

* An interest in cars, machinery or mechanics is important, but previous experience isn't essential.

* Applicants must meet the relevant SOLAS apprenticeship entry requirements.

* Applicant must hold either a full drivers licence or learners permit

* Commitment to a 4-year programme that involves both on and off-the-job training which will require travel to designated Solas Centres
