Contracts Engineer

Day to Day of the Role:

• Provide support to General Manager and Plant Managers with existing Operate & Maintain (O&M) contracts 

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Power Bi to support project implementation and business targets 

• Assisting in project delivery and supporting commercial contracts to help manage and reduce business risks for Veolia Ireland

• Possesses strong communication skills and extensive cross-functional experience, enabling effective collaboration across teams to drive successful outcomes and deliver innovative solutions

• Work with the General Manager to Identify claims, give timely notice and support in defending against claims for accelerations, disruption or losses

• Strong written communication abilities, and the ability to negotiate a strong commercial position for the company are also essential

• Exposure to the process of estimating, pricing and quantity surveying on contract variations and assisting the project team on projects.

• Evaluate contractor performance after project completion

• Working with the General Manager and Design Build (DB) team to develop bids and respond to tenders.

• Work with the Plant Managers to support the preparation of monthly client reports

• Work with the Plant Managers to support the preparation of client billing

• Support operational sites with implementation of quality and safety standards systems (VMR, LRQA etc.)

• Compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures

Qualifications: Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Process Engineering or similar

Skills expected: Strong IT Skills, Communication Skills, Strong Attention to Detail, Resilient 

Languages: English (Fluent)
