Conveyancing Solicitor

Thomas Barry and Company, 11 St Stephens Green, Dublin 2 (est. 1991), a friendly modern practice, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Conveyancing Solicitor to fill a key role in their expanding Property Team. The role will suit a skilled conveyancer who enjoys being freed up to apply his or her technical knowledge to focus on title examination and contract/documentation drafting.

They operate a team based process, moving transactions through stage by stage. This releases the successful candidate to deal with the above areas while experienced support staff handle the other aspects of transactions including most client facings. The role is full or part time with an option for remote working. An attractive package is available for the right candidate.

Principal responsibilities:

Purchases

• Review contracts, title and related documents.
• Raise pre-contract queries.
• Draft deed and related documents.
• Review replies.
• Raise rejoinders.

Sales

• Draft contracts.
• Answer pre-contract queries.
• Approve draft deeds and related documents.
• Answer rejoinders.

Requirements:

• Demonstrably strong conveyancing experience with excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Good communicator;
• Practical and flexible with an ability to work to agreed deadlines;
• Excellent computer skills to include ability to use a case management system.
