Counter Sales/Warehouse
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for processing orders, ensuring these are ready for despatch and carrying out deliveries in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
KEY TASKS:
1. Processing telephone orders and serving customers.
2. Checking in deliveries, putting stock away in the correct location, loading delivery vehicles and carrying out deliveries.
3. Provide quotes to customers over telephone or in person.
4. Receive & putaway stock.
5. Prepare orders for despatch.
6. Invoices.
7. Process cash payments from customers.
8. Forklift duties as required (training will be provided if necessary).
9. Support the team during busy period’s, holidays, sickness etc by undertaking general administration duties.
10. Any other duties conducive to the effective operation of the post which the Company deem to be within the post holder’s competence. Operational requirements of the business may dictate that overtime may be required.
Qualifications
· GCSE’s including English Language & Mathematics at Grade A to C (or equivalent)
Experience
· Experience in a similar trade counter role delivering excellent customer service.
Skills
· Effective communication skills.
· Attention for detail and ability to work on own initiative.
· Good time management with the ability to organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel & Outlook.
Other
· Full clean driving license.
· Be a team player.
