Temporary Cover Instructor (Evening) – Door Security and Security Guarding Skills

REPORTING TO: Evening Course Manager

SECTION: GRETB Training Centre

HOURLY RATE: €51.15 per hour plus 8% annual leave

COMPETENCIES:

The person appointed to the above post will be require to show evidence of the following

• Teaching/Instructing/Training ability;
• Specific capacity to contribute to the overall needs of the Further Education and Training Services;

• Management and Delivery of Results;
• Professional Development.

ESSENTIAL/DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:

The following are essential requirements for appointment to the post:

• Leaving Certificate or equivalent, together with a minimum of five years’ relevant work experience in the Security Industry to include the areas of security guarding and door security is essential;

• Relevant Technical qualification one step higher that the certification awarded and have a recognised Training Qualification;

• Relevant Mandatory qualifications to deliver Security Modules as set down by the PSA (Private Security Authority)

• Previous training, instructing or teaching experience;
• At least two years’ management/supervisory experience would be advantageous;

• A high level of knowledge and expertise in the area of Further Education and Training;
• Broad Public Sector knowledge relevant to this area of work;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; -
• Excellent ICT and administration skills;
• Willingness to work flexible hours outside of normal office hours;
• Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
