Salary: £12.60 per hour (Real Living Wage)
Contract: Full-time, temporary (until March 2026, with possible extension)
Hours: 35 per week

This opportunity is part of the CINE (Creating Inclusive and New Entrants) programme, funded by the Department for Communities and delivered in partnership with BBC Northern Ireland. It’s designed to support people who are currently underrepresented in the screen industries.

About the Role
This trainee role sits within CRBA (Commercial, Rights and Business Affairs) — the BBC team that supports its creative work by managing contracts, payments, and rights agreements. You’ll be supporting the team behind the scenes by helping with contracts and contributor payments for TV, radio, and online programmes.
This is a hands-on opportunity to learn how the business side of broadcasting works, while gaining experience in legal, financial, and operational processes.

What You'll Be Doing
- Assisting with contracts and payment processing for presenters, contributors, and artists
- Responding to queries from agents and internal teams
- Communicating professionally via email, phone, and in person
- Gaining insight into rights, legal frameworks, and business affairs
- Receiving full training and support through the CINE programme
- Contributing to a collaborative, inclusive, and professional work environment
- Occasional travel (e.g. to London) may be required
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Good attention to detail, especially in admin or written tasks
- Comfortable with numbers and written communication
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in contracts, rights, or the business side of media
- Ability to work well in a team
- Motivated to learn about the industry
- Aged 18+ and eligible to work in the UK
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience in admin, business support, or customer service
- Exposure to legal or rights-related work (e.g. contracts, compliance)
- Interest in a career in legal, business, or rights within media
