CREATE 3 PROJECT LEAD

Candidates are invited for the role of CREATE 3 Project Lead.

Job Title and Grade

CREATE 3 Project Lead – Grade 6

  • Full-time, specific purpose contract for approximately one year, with potential for extension subject to external funding.

Reporting to

  • Director of Nursing

Key Working Relationships

  • Nursing Department, Quality and Safety Department, WorkAbility, Activity Hub, SMH Foundation, external digital and assistive technology teams, third-level institutions and other disability service providers.

Overall Purpose of the Role

  • The CREATE 3 Project Lead will build on an established suite of digital supports that empower people with disabilities to navigate and thrive in an increasingly digital society.
  • The role will operate both within the organisation and in collaboration with another disability service provider, contributing to a broader national approach to digital inclusion.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Co-design and deliver workshops with and for people with intellectual disabilities.
  • Lead a quality improvement initiative to strengthen the voice of people with disabilities through the development of accessible Person Reported Experience Measures (PREMs) pathways.
  • Support individuals to develop practical digital skills, including online banking, telehealth, smart home technologies and digital supports for daily living.
  • Deliver online safety training to build digital confidence and awareness of privacy, fraud and cyber risks.
  • Support the continued development of accessible learning resources, including Easy Read materials, videos and visual supports.
  • Promote and support the use of the HSE Health Passport App.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to promote digital inclusion and the use of digital and assistive technologies.

Essential Criteria

Candidates must have:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in the disability sector.
  • A keen interest in how digital and assistive technologies can support people with disabilities to improve their quality of life.
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. Degree in Social Care, RNID) or significant experience in supporting people with a disability to use digital and/or assistive technology.
  • Experience in training or coaching people with intellectual disabilities.
  • A strong track record in advocacy and supporting the voices of people with disabilities.
  • Experience in data analysis and report writing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A full driving licence.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in project planning and change management.
  • Experience in quality improvement initiatives for marginalised groups.
  • Experience in inclusive design and co-production approaches.
  • A qualification or training in digital and assistive technologies and/or digital inclusion.

Salary

Salary will be aligned with the HSE revised consolidated Grade 6 salary scale (35-hour week).

Salary Scale: The successful candidate will be paid in line with the June 2026 HSE revised consolidated Grade VI pay scale (point 1; €58,477 – point 7; €71,442 LSIs per annum based on working a 35-hour week). Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above.
