CSSD Operative

The successful candidate will be primarily be assigned to the CSSD Department in order to maintain service delivery requirements. As a key team member of the department they will be responsible for the delivery of an efficient, effective and high quality service to meet hospital service requirements. They will be required to provide cover for staff who are on leave. They will be required to cover shifts in the department and maintain a flexible approach to performance of duties as specified.
They will be required to be flexible in their approach to carry out any duties which may be assigned to them in the department.

· Collection and transportation of used medical devices from user areas.

· Decontamination of used devices using mechanical and manual methods.

· Inspection and function testing of devices. Any discrepancies or faults to be reported immediately to Manager

· Assembly and packaging of devices for sterilization.
