What is the Role:

The Performance and Analytics function is a core element of the Customer First Strategy, within the Chief Customer Office (CCO), working with teams from across CCO and other areas of AIB group to help business leaders understand our customers and make more informed, data and insight driven decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new team that is building the foundations for long-term success to shape awareness of how Analytics can drive the agenda in CCO.

The purpose of our team is to champion analysis of customer behaviour, using analytical driven insight to drive data-led decision making to improve customer outcomes and drive value for the business. We support and enable a wide range of business teams through analysis of customer behaviour, identifying trends and patterns that will inform and measure customer strategy and improve customer experience.

Key accountabilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day delivery of customer analytics and insights, ensuring high-quality, timely and accurate outputs that support decision-making across the CCO and wider organisation.
  • Develop strong partnerships with business stakeholders, acting as a subject matter expert on data driven customer insights, drivers of performance and opportunities to enhance customer experience.
  • Translate data into clear, actionable outcomes, blending complex analysis into insights that support strategic priorities and business outcomes.
  • Coach, mentor and develop a team of analysts and data specialists, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Identify emerging trends and customer behaviour patterns, highlighting opportunities to drive value, mitigate risk and measure customer strategy performance.
  • Promote best practice in data analysis, data quality, and insight generation, supporting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across CCO, Data & Analytics and other business functions to ensure consistent interpretation of insights and alignment of customer metrics.

What you will bring:

  • Strong experience in customer analytics, with a proven ability to analyse data, identify insights, and provide clear, actionable recommendations that influence business decisions.
  • Technical experience in data analysis, including proficiency in SQL, Python, BI/visualisation tools, and experience working with large, complex datasets.
  • A track record of leading and developing analytics teams, demonstrating the ability to coach, empower and build capability in others.
  • Excellent data storytelling and communication skills, with ability to translate complex concepts into compelling, customer-focused narratives for senior stakeholders.
  • Experience shaping and managing stakeholder relationships, acting as a partner who can challenge constructively, influence decisions and guide problem-solving.
  • A customer-first mindset, with a passion for understanding behaviours, improving experiences and contributing to AIB’s Customer First Strategy.
  • A commitment to collaboration, continuous improvement and simplification, demonstrating curiosity and adaptability in evolving environments.
  • Strong organisational and accountability skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, ensure quality delivery and uphold high standards for your team.
