Reporting directly to Sales Planning Manager, the Customer Development Executive will operate as part of our Sales Revenue Planning team within the Sales organisation; and should deliver on the key business goals of Net Revenue per tonne and Customer Investment.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Manage the customer deductions for accounts, whilst putting the customer at the heart by developing the relationships to minimise disputes and maximise opportunities to resolve and collect debt.
  • Business partner sales managers to ensure we work together to manage their accounts’ ledger and debt. Ensure effective communication to improve results.
  • Responsible for the timely payment of customer invoices in line with company procedure to ensure that we minimise outstanding deductions on the ledger and post to trade accruals accurately to reflect current liability.
  • Have regular reviews with commercial and finance teams to ensure trade spend management and timely closure and release of funds through recycling, or recognition of additional liability through manual accruals.
  • Responsible for managing a clean reconciled ledger for respective accounts.
  • Be a Point of contact to provide support to key internal contacts, 3rd parties and customers in respect of timely query resolution.
  • Responsible for, accurate and complete, record retention in line with company policy. Ensure SOX controls of proof of performance and price change backup are met. Ensure audit evidence exists to support promotional authorisation and invoice payment.
  • Contribute towards a continuous improvement mind-set to improve process and ways of working.

This is a permanent role.

What you need to know about this position:

The CDE should develop key business relationships with their respective Customer Account Managers to ensure that strong links are built to enable better results, while supporting all customers. The Key Business Partners will be Customer Account Managers, Customer Planning Execs and Sales Finance Analysts.

The role needs to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex internal structure to build links with various functions.
