Title: Cyber Analyst

Summary of role:

This role sits within the Digital Controls team in Enterprise Security and Resilience, part of Enterprise Delivery. The Cyber Analyst provides expertise in assessing and enhancing the Bank’s cybersecurity policies, controls, and risk management strategies. The Analyst ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards, identifies and addresses potential risks, supports the development and embedding of governance frameworks, conducts risk assessments, and manages assurance processes to maintain a strong security posture. The role also involves monitoring and reporting on compliance with security standards, and providing recommendations and management information to protect the Bank’s assets and reputation.

We're looking for someone who can:

  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, assess, and evaluate cybersecurity risks across the organization, providing recommendations to mitigate risks and improve the Bank’s overall security posture.
  • Generate Board level reports that articulate AIB’s security risk posture.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations by conducting regular reviews, audits, and assessments. Report on findings and make recommendations for corrective actions where necessary.
  • Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of existing security controls and frameworks. Ensure that they are adequately protecting the Bank’s assets and comply with regulatory standards.
  • Generate Management Information to articulate our Security Risk Posture against standards and framework.
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as legal, audit, and Technology & Data, to ensure cybersecurity risks are managed effectively. Engage with external partners and auditors to facilitate successful security reviews and audits.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation related to governance, risk management, and compliance processes. Generate reports to provide insights on the Bank’s risk profile and assurance status.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / IT Security or has relevant industry experience.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to generate Board digestible Security reports.
  • Proven capability in the generation of Management Information using Excel and other common reporting tools, such as PowerBI.
  • Possesses in-depth knowledge of IT Security-related issues, including legal aspects such as data privacy.

The following certifications are desirable though not essential:

  • Masters in Computer Science/Information Security, SANS GCTI / GCIH, CISSP, SSCP, CEH, OSCP/OSCE.
